Hapuna Beach on the Big Island is bad. Even at four feet.

HONOLULU (AP) Hapuna Beach on the Big Island is the site of more spinal cord injuries than any other beach in Hawaii.

Queen's Medical Center says there have been 11 spinal cord injuries at Hapuna since 2001. Waikiki is second with eight.

Sandy's Beach on Oahu had seven during the same period.

Appearances at Hapuna can be deceptive.
